MUN, short for Model United Nations, is an extra-curricular activity usually organised by students of various institutions. The activity takes the form of a simulation of the United Nation conferences where students typically roleplay delegates of various nations to the UN's different committees, debating their point of views with the goal of achieving a resolution to major issues in our world today.

MUN provides a platform for passionate and enthusiastic students to debate, voice out concerns and opinions, and propose well thought-out solutions for prevalent world issues beyond the realm of the classroom. Besides that, it also gives them invaluable skills pertinent to the development of the world today, involving substantial researching, public speaking, debating and writing skills, as well as critical thinking, teamwork and leadership abilities. As an incentive, students are recognized for their performance demonstrating said skills, through awards typically in the form of a certificate and occasionally, a trophy.
