Greetings Delegates,

"When we're down and out, there seems no hope at all, but if you just believe, there's no way we can fall. Let us realize that a change can only come when we stand together as one"

​

The year was 1985. Poverty was rampant in Africa; even more so than it is today. In those dire straits, it was Michael Jackson who sang those words. "We Are The World", his song was called, a collaboration with over 40 artists of various styles and genres of music, all united as a singular voice to support the poor and hungry via "USA for Africa".

This is what I envision the delegates of Malaysia Model UN could be.

 

Undoubtedly, the Malaysian MUN scene has grown immensely since its introduction in Malaysia many, many years ago. Today, we have at least 1000 active members, with conferences being held so often, it is nigh impossible to keep up with all of them.

Yet, despite having such a huge and active community, we have yet to tap into the full potential of our youth, as the majority of our community come from private institutions and are based in Kuala Lumpur, with public institutions and other states being left out; not intentionally, but incidentally.

​

We at M-MUN intend to change that. With the help of University Teknologi Malaysia, we wish to bring MUN to all the youths of Malaysia, of all levels of education, especially those of public high schools, colleges and universities.

​

Let us all, together and in time, empower our youth, regardless of social background, to transform the future, our future.
